Tour Itinerary: Day Trip to Alexandria from Cairo by Car

Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa

Pompey’s Pillar

An 82-foot (25-meter) granite column was built to honor Emperor Diocletian, who freed the besieged city and brought food to its starving people.

Qaitbay Citadel

A 15th-century fortress located on the Mediterranean seacoast. It was established in 1477 AD by Sultan Al-Ashraf Qa’it Bay. Qaitbay Citadel is situated in the same place as the Pharaoh’s Island.
