Tour Itinerary
Itinerary: Cairo Airport to Memphis, Saqqara, and Dahshur Tour
This magnificent Memphis, Saqqara, and Dahsure trip from Cairo Airport begins with our guests being picked up from the airport and transported in a private air-conditioned car to see:
Step Pyramid of Saqqara
When the golden step pyramid of Saqqara was completed between 2670 BC and 2650 BC, it was the oldest and largest cut stone edifice on the face of the world, and it held the first pyramid complex of its sort, according to the vision of Imhotep, king Djoser’s primary vizier.
Memphis City
Memphis is a faraway dream that began in the 31st century BC as Egypt’s first metropolis and the lifeblood of the two countries. It was established roughly 20 kilometers (12 miles) south of Cairo and is known for housing historically significant ruins from the previous monarchy.
Pyramids of Dahshur
The whole region of Dahshur is an enormous royal necropolis only 40 kilometers (25 miles) south of Cairo, notable for housing some of the world’s largest, oldest, and best-preserved structures dating from 2613 to 2589 BC. The Bent Pyramid of Pharaoh Sneferu (2613 BC–2589 BC), the Red Pyramid (2575 BC–2551 BC), and the Black Pyramid of Amenemhat III (1860 BC–1814 BC), and others are among the most notable pyramids in Dahsure.
After lunch, our clients will be transferred back to Cairo Airport, bringing the excursion to a close.
Lunch is served.
