Giza Pyramids Complex

For more than 4,000 years, the splendor of the ancient Egyptian civilization reached the sky at the Giza pyramid complex. The huge sphinx, the valley temple, the six smaller pyramids, and the three major great pyramids make up the Giza complex.

The Great Pyramid

As the last remaining piece of one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the great pyramid is a monument outside of our time and space. With a workforce of roughly 100,000 experienced free laborers, the pyramid of King Khufu was built in 2580 BC over 20 years using 2,300,000 blocks of limestone, each weighing 2.5 tonnes. With a height of 147 meters (481 feet), it was the highest structure ever built for 3800 years.

The Great Sphinx

The Great Sphinx, also known as “Hor-em-akhet,” or “Horus of the Horizon,” has traditionally served as Egypt’s unwavering protector. The sphinx is the form of a legendary animal with the body of a lion and the head of a man said to represent king Khafre to emphasize his strength and wisdom. It is 73 meters (240 feet) tall and 19 meters (66 feet) broad.

The Valley Temple

It was built during the Old Kingdom of Egypt (2686–2134 BC) to serve as the location for mummification, and the valley is very well-preserved archaeologically because it provides crucial details regarding mummification and Egyptian funerals customs.

After eating your lunch in a restaurant with a view of the pyramids or the Nile, go on to:

Step Pyramid of Saqqara

The legendary Imhotep, the vizier of Pharaoh Djoser, designed Saqqara as a gift from above to have a unique design made up of six steps reaching a height of 62 m, surrounded by a great complex containing amazing ceremonial structures. Saqqara was the beginning of the golden age of pyramid constructions in Ancient Egypt.

City of Memphis

Memphis City, which means “Enclosure of the Ka of Ptah,” was the first recognized capital of Ancient Egypt. It was established by King Menes in 2925 BC to be a land of artisans and artists. Memphis City was also the location of the great temple of Hut-Ka-Ptah, which translates to “Ai-Gy-Ptos,” the word from which Egypt derives.

After that, you’ll go back to your hotel to spend the night.
